About Us

Front Range Golf Club (FRGC) is an excellent opportunity for avid golfers of all skill levels to enjoy the feeling of a “country club membership” without paying the accompanying high costs. Members can play competitive weekend golf on a regular basis while enjoying the camaraderie associated with being a club member. It is our feeling that there are too few opportunities for golfers to hone their skills in a fun, competitive, yet affordable environment. That’s what Front Range Golf Club is all about.

The league is open to all amateur golfers regardless of ability, as all events are played with a USGA handicap. We have chosen some of the Denver region’s finest tracks to host our events. All events are held on weekends, with a mix of Saturdays and Sundays.

Every event involves low-gross and low-net stroke play, as well simultaneous matches (twosome and/or foursome versus the field), and various side games (Skins, CTP, low-net on designated holes, etc.) Players always play their own ball and have a regulation 18-hole score, no matter the event format. And, throughout the season, players earn points in accordance with their finishes in order to qualify for the season-ending championship. We provide a leader board in the clubhouse as well as live scoring on the Golf Genius app so that golfers can experience the excitement of a pro-like event.

At season’s end, we crown a Schmieder Cup Champion (for low-gross points winner), a Macy Cup Champion (low-net points leader) and a Nisenson Cup recipient (for the match play champion), as well as Rookie of the Year and other awards.

Handicaps

The Front Range Golf Club is defined as a golf club without real estate as set forth by the USGA. This means that all our events are governed by USGA rules, and our club has formal by-laws. All of this allows us to issue official GHIN handicaps, which are a requirement for participating in club events. If you do not have a handicap, the club can provide you with one for the season for an additional fee of $40.

Membership Dues

Membership includes: Access to all tournaments, annual golf gift membership package, access to the Golf Genius app, and information highlighting details of all our tour events, tournament formats, and general club policies.

The Front Range Golf Club is a members’ club, meaning that the club was formed to give golfers a chance to play fun, competitive golf at a variety of golf courses, not to make money for the organizers. The FRGC has, by far, the lowest costs associated with membership when comparing it to the other traveling golf leagues in the Denver area. Those leagues are designed as a business to make the organizers money. Ours is designed by avid golfers who want a great golf club to play in.

The FRGC is operated by event management professionals who love the game of golf.
